Do my documents leave my phone?
In Local mode: not a single byte leaves your phone. The analysis runs on-device with Gemini Nano (via Android AICore — Pixel 9+, Galaxy S25+ and other compatible phones). Verify it yourself: switch on airplane mode, scan a document, it still works. In Cloud mode: the image goes to our analysis endpoint, gets processed, then deleted; we only keep the encrypted summary shown in the app.
Does it work on my old phone?
Yes, in most cases. Cloud mode works on Android 8+ and iOS 15+. Local mode (100% on-device AI) is available in V1 on phones with AICore (Pixel 9+, Galaxy S25+, and compatibles); on other phones MailSmile automatically falls back to Cloud, nothing breaks.
Why no subscription like everyone else?
Because we're tired of them. You probably are too. Either you pay for what you actually use, or you pay once for life. No third option. This is our one non-negotiable conviction.
What if I want to cancel?
Cloud: there's nothing to cancel. You don't use, you don't pay. Local: you bought the app, it's yours, nothing to cancel either.
Do you sell my data?
No. No ads. No reselling. No tracking SDKs. A crash report opt-in only, off by default. The Local promise is verifiable — put your phone in airplane mode, scan a doc, watch it work.
